For this assignment, I decided to explore Dead Horse Bay in Brooklyn (highly recommended!). The beach was once home to a 19th century landfill and much of the trash still remains along the water's edge. I attempted to focus on the weathered, ocean-beaten objects. The mystery of their past was very interesting to me.
The balloons were a happy accident. I was at the beach when the clump of deflated, renegade balloons floated by. I enjoyed the bright color agains the murky water, and the juxtaposition of their presence.
I really like how you are contrasting natural beauty with waste in the top one and context and color contrast in the bottom... Nice seeing.
